FAMILY MINISTRY
At Fairview, we believe that God designed the family as the primary place for faith and character formation. We seek to inspire, equip, and assist. you to become intentional about building a God-honoring home one step at a time. At church, we want to create a culture of intentional families using three simple objectives.
MAKE IT EASY
We hope to make it easy for you to become intentional at home by providing bite-sized, life-season specific ideas and resources.
MAKE IT LIKELY
We hope to make it more likely that you will become intentional by nudging you to incorporate good habits into your exisiting family-life routines.
GIVE IT A CLEAR PATH
We coach parents to nurture the faith of their children one step at a time using birthday specific Fath Path kits.
The resources below are designed to help you take simple steps toward creating a God-honoring home. Since most of us are called to Worship God through the intimacy of marriage and the blessing of children, we need to understand the purpose and priority of family life.
SHOWING CHRIST
Every marriage is intended to be a masterpiece reflecting THE marriage between God and His people.
RAISING BELIEVERS
Those blessed with the gift of children and grandchildren are called to disciple the next generation as life's greatest honor and highest priority.
BE JESUS
A strong Christian family attracts the next generation and next door neighbor to Christ as The Word becomes flesh and blood and we conform our lives to the image and example of Christ.
FAITH PATH
The Faith Path is a tool that suggests specific practices and milestones to implement at certain ages. On select birthdays for your child, you should receive an email that will train and jumpstart you on the age-appropriate strategies for your child's faith formation from birth through age eighteen. It will include resources, such as training videos, starter guide ideas, recommended resources, and other helpful elements. You can access Faith Path here.
MY FAMILY SEASON
While there are certain milestones in the life of your family you can plan on, there are other events that are hard to plan for. For many of these, we want to offer you resources that will help you develop a biblical perspective on many of those common family seasons and challenges, along with recommended resources to help you during these times. FAMILY INITIATIVES
Each Spring and Fall, Fairview will launch initiatives focused on important areas of family life, such as Technology and Family or Living Missionally as a Family. As we do, we will offer access to free resources that will make it easy to incorporate faith conversations and relationship building routines in the fabric of family life.
PREPARE AND ENRICH
It is our desire to equip couples and families with skills and insights to foster healthy relationships. One of the tools we are exited to offer is the Prepare/Enrich assessment tool along with several certified facilitators that can walk you through the results of your assessment.
